Terms and Conditions

Your continuing use of the tour operator portal implies agreement with these terms and conditions.

Tour listings are presented in the Cycle Tours Global (CTG) standard format which may differ somewhat from your our website. This standard format has been devised to be specific to our CTG audience how users will expect to see tours presented. Each tour will be different but the main elements of the format are:

  • The language and tone used must be respective of all users - tour listings can be exclusionary (e.g. women or LGBT only) but not discriminatory.
  • The tour name should in most cases exclude unnecessary terms like 'bike/cycle/bicycle tour' as that is what CTG is all about, and nothing else.
  • Listings text or description must not include URLs or web addresses (use the designated fields only)
  • The tour name should where possible be descriptive (location or specialism/niche rather than just the just a country name).
  • The tour name should not include/repeat unnecessary detail like guiding, duration, difficulty or support that is already prominently displayed.
  • Amount of detail: there should be sufficient to attract interest for users to visit your site, without so much that may cause a user to just select a different more readable listing.
  • For consistency 'cost from' information will be based on a single adult (in double/twin accommodation). Alternatives can be shown in group or other information.
  • 'From' and 'To' should be the locations where cycling starts and ends - transfers should be mentioned in tour inclusions, exclusions or options as appropriate.
  • Excessive capitalisation or marketing jargon will not be permitted as that does not help the user.
  • Tour listings must be in English (users can use the Google Translate option at the top of the page).
  • Images or photos should not contain watermarks, text or logos (unless specific to an individual tour) that cover more than 10% of an image. If there are at least other 3 photos in a gallery, one image can be a logo.
  • Images may be resized or cropped for best presentation on CTG.
